HELP US ERASE HATE

We have been supporting the Matthew Shepard Foundation and the Erase Hate initiative since launching Chavez for Charity in 2013. It is with humility, respect and pride that I would like to announce our Erase Hate bracelet to commemorate Matthew and the work of the foundation.

As someone who has a gay mother and brother, it's easy to understand just how important it is to have more tolerance and acceptance in the world, and to leave room for more compassion. A world without hate would create a space for the gentle, open and understanding nature of all human beings; a happier world; a more peaceful world; a world everyone would benefit from.

WE HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS EXCITED ABOUT A PRODUCT LAUNCH IN OUR SIX YEARS OF BEING IN BUSINESS. IT BRINGS OUR PURPOSE, HEART AND FOCUS BACK TO WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO, AND I LOVE THAT.  -JULIE CHAVEZ

I have witnessed Judy and Dennis Shepard's relentless efforts in traveling and speaking to group after group in the name of erasing hate. Supporting the foundation and observing the 20th anniversary of Matthew's unforgettable story is an opportunity for us to reflect on the shifts that have happened, yet still acknowledge how far there is to go.

In this business, we have the privilege of hearing so many stories from people kind enough to open up to us about coming out, being estranged from their families and all of the struggles that come along with being a part of the LBTQ+ community. When someone tells us that the work that we do with the Matthew Shepard Foundation inspired them, or educated them, or brought them closer to someone - that means everything to us.
